DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Homes, Inc. is family owned and operated.  Donald & Wanda DeGraff opened their funeral home in 1979 as Lakehurst Funeral Homes, Inc. in historic downtown Lakehurst.  The building itself has a funeral history dating back to the early 1900’s.

In the late 1980’s, their children started taking active rolls in running the family business, together with their parents.  A new generation but still the quality service and commitment and compassion, that was taught to them by their parents.

In 1991, we created DeGraff Cremation Services.   A service to target the public who wanted cremation, with all the many options and services that tailor this type of disposition.

In 1996, we amended our business name to include our sir name, creating DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Homes, Inc.  family owned and operated, carrying out traditional funeral services and entombments with individual personalized care and empathy.

The DeGraff ‘s  take great pride in caring for each family on an individual basis tailoring funeral needs to meet the publics individual choices and options.  The third generation of DeGraff’s are sometimes seen on the premises, although to young to work they have been known to put a smile on some faces.  Truly, a family owned an operated funeral home.
